I would like to be able to perform a search inquiry and find the date of manufacture for a specific serial number; i.e.: I will type the serial number in a cell ('inquiry'), and it will tell me the date of manufacture ('result').
We have a spreadsheet where we record all of the serial numbers for our products (actually a range of serial numbers).Unfortunately, there is no ‘sequential logic’ to the scheme, other than the fact that the starting and ending serial numbers for a given day (or half-day) will always be sequential.The headers for the six critical columns are: 1) Date, 2) Location, 3) Starting Number AM, 4) Finishing Number AM, 5) Starting Number PM, and 6) Finishing Number PM.
I can get this guitar for 284 dollars, it looks great, but I'm not at all familiar with Aria guitars, is it any good? I'm considering trading my Yamah.
To add to the mix of variables, some days have AM only entries, some PM only, and some both AM & PM.

An example is as follows: I wanted to find the date of manufacture for serial number 5114535.It turns out that it was made on 05/11/11 (‘Date’- column A), and the serial number entries for that day (AM only) are 5114468 (‘Starting Number AM’ - column D) and 5114708 (‘Finishing Number AM’ - column E).
