Best kid story I've ever read!
It is surprisingly enternaining and fun as it is melancholic.
The best of it is the whole innocent and sweet chat between Ami the visitor of the sky and the principal character, whom is also a child. Besides all this, Ami's thoughts not only should be read by children but also should be read by grown ups. There's so much message in it, and if one can understand it clearly it can be transformed in a positive apprenticeship for everyone.

I enjoyed many of the others' comments because I found I shared many the same impressions others described. This is what encouraged me to, as they say, 'add my two cents' about this epic favorite from my childhood. My father read it to me when I first went off to live with him again for the first time since my parents split up when I was 5 years old. This book was translated into many languages and become popular in many countries but not in America.
I read this book in my language and was very inspired by the high technology from other planets.
One day we will have all the tools that Ami brought with him to the Earth, such as a belt with button that move you like a rocket, or a palm-let that you can view whatever you want to see from far away.

I'm amazed how Barrios used simple metaphors to describe everything that the word LOVE conveys. The book is full of beautiful messages about the real purpose of the human existence: spread love. A must-read.

Beautiful book, masked as a sci fi story, the book contains lots of wisdom and a deep message for humanity. This should be a must read for politicians, bankers and the top 1%.
Whoever wrote this book was/is a very special being and I dare to say that maybe his stories are not that sci-fi.

A good friend of mine shared this book with me some time ago, and I didn't read it until yesterday.
It has been a calming experience, and reading 'Ami' feels like I'm talking to an old friend. Many of the things that the book talks about, echo my own thoughts and beliefs. It is reassuring, like a pat in the back, or even a warm hug.

Everyone living on our planet earth MUST read this book. It is beautiful, full of hope and it tells us about the profound purpose and meaning of our lives.

I think this is the first piece of literature I ever read. This book helped to shape my personality, and although I don't believe in many of the things Enrique Barrios writes about anymore, thanks to these books I can consider myself an open-minded person.

This was my first read EVER!! And I still remember every leason, every World and every WORD! It has been kind of a little Bibble for me since then. I follow some of the teachings learned in this book up to day. It seems to be a 100% kids book, but it is so much more!

Wow! Even it was a simple book (supposed for children), it is so wise.
